The Second Annual Springboro Juneteenth Jubilee is a family-friendly community event happening on Saturday, June 18, 2022, when we honor an important day in our nation’s history, June 19, 1865. On this day, the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were finally told they were free, coming nearly two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation had already abolished slavery.
The Juneteenth Jubilee will take place across four unique venues in Springboro and will include live music, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, a Freedom Ride cycling event, Underground Railroad tours, food trucks, prizes, and more!
